Ministry Program Outline

J & K Ministries was started in 1995 by John & Karen Potts and is a Christian Organization. We live in Madeira Beach, Florida. Our Goal is to be a Servant & Ambassador for God and to help people.

Our ministry started as a simple but powerful prayer ministry. God has given us a gift to develop and facilitate programs (We call them Tool shops) that will meet the needs of His people. We originally developed Life Skills Programs such as Anger Management, Stress Management, Decision Making, Goal Setting, etc. We offer Tool shops, such as Healing of Damaged Emotions, The Crisis of Burnout, Building Healthy Personal Relationships, and many more to target your churches specific needs. We have written & facilitated these programs in the church, and Prisons. We found that so many people today, both in and out of prison are hurting, and struggling to live with the pressures of today’s society. And God has given us a Special Gift to minister to these people.

Our Tool shops are usually short enough that they can be accomplished in 1-1/2 to 2 hours in an evening or a weekend. The size of each tool shop should be no more than 15 people in most cases, in order to work with each one on a “one-on-one” basis. A smaller group also provides more of an environment where someone would be more inclined to open up and share a deep emotional or experience issue. We have made exceptions for certain tool shops that don’t deal as much in emotional issues, but are more informational in nature, such as “Job Search Tool shops”. We also developed programs that are more of a mini series, and require several sessions to complete. We offer handouts and work sheets for most of the programs, and we encourage everyone to take notes and to get personally involved. This is where the program can be most effective.

We desire to come in by invitation for a one time specific need, or to plan out a schedule that would accommodate your church needs, both in the type of programs that you feel would be the most beneficial, and to be able to offer the program to everyone that desires to attend, which sometimes requires doing the same program several times.

We would appreciate the opportunity to share more about these programs in person. We receive no funds from any Government Grants or Agencies, we are completely dependent on God to provide for our ministry needs. We never charge anything for facilitating programs. We do ask you to consider what God may say to you regarding this, after we have the opportunity to serve in your church. As we said, we are completely dependent on God.
